Bring East Hampton's beauty to your backyard space with BOXHILL's Italian Terracotta (Jackpot Vessel). A new, modern masterpiece, this pot was designed by renowned textile designer and author Jack Lenore Larson. A nod to a princely Japanese lacquer bowl from his personal collection, this piece is a fulsome bowl elevated on a sturdy pedestal. We can't get enough of its striking silhouette!
This pottery is hand-selected from the most sought-after workshops in Impruneta (a commune in the Florence province of Italy). Produced by the best workshops who only employ master artisans, the level of quality is unparalleled. Each workshop is one that both produces and sells terracotta inside the Impruneta zone. (Lesser workshops produce their pottery outside of the area, yet maintain an Impruneta showroom for the address.) Our terracotta is heirloom quality, and it will increase in value over time. The classic designs are timeless, and they will work with every style of architecture. Each handmade piece is traceable to its master artisan, as it is hand-signed and dated.
These beautiful terra cotta pots are frost-proof down to -20*F. We recommend that you lift the pots off of the ground (via pot feet, wedges, or wooden blocks) so there is at least an inch between the drainage hole and the ground for colder weather. Leave soil in the pots during the winter months, and avoid using saucers to keep the drainage holes clear.
Known throughout the industry as the "Rolls Royce of Pottery," this pottery is a sound investment for any garden or landscape. Transcending quality and style to a landscape, they bring vitality to the plants they house. Seen in prestigious locations such as the New York Botanical Garden, and the Biltmore Estate, this is the best Italian pottery for discerning designers and gardeners.
