Byron Outdoor Teak Lounge Chair is handcrafted from sustainably sourced solid Indonesian teak. Naturally resilient, teak is an ideal outdoor material, valued for its resistance to weather, cracking, and rot when properly maintained. Over time, it develops a beautiful patina that enhances its character. For best results, we recommend following our Care + Maintenance Guide to preserve both its performance and natural beauty.
Beneath the cushions, a concealed Batyline mesh sling suspension provides flexible support and long-term durability. This high-performance material is resistant to fading, stretching, stains, and moisture, and is easy to clean—making it perfectly suited for outdoor living. The chair remains equally comfortable with or without cushions, offering versatility without compromising design.
The lounge chair includes one seat cushion and one box-style back cushion, upholstered in outdoor fabric designed to resist mildew, stains, and fading. The seat cushion features quick-dry, flow-through foam wrapped in Dacron for sink-in comfort and efficient drainage, while the back cushion is filled with Dacron for relaxed, supportive lounging.
Subtle brass-toned stretchers integrated into the chair legs provide added structural integrity while introducing a refined accent that elevates the overall aesthetic. With its compact footprint and composed silhouette, the Byron Lounge Chair enhances a wide range of spaces without overwhelming them.
To help preserve its appearance, we strongly recommend using custom outdoor furniture covers as an added layer of protection against the elements and natural aging. If the chair remains covered and unused for extended periods, periodically removing the cover will allow airflow and help reduce trapped moisture.

Materials
Body/Finish: Indonesian Teak
Teak furniture is made from 100% sustainably sourced Indonesian teak, purchased through legally harvested channels in Indonesia. Our Natural Teak finish is untreated teak, highlighting the beauty of the premium grade logs we source for our production. This swatch is indicative of the tonality of the wood when it first is unboxed, but may vary slightly due to the organic nature of the wood. As Teak lives in the sun, moisture and elements, it will naturally begin to get a silver–grey coloration which will increase in patina over time. This is part of the beauty of teak and does not sacrifice the durability or life. If the original natural color is desired, there are cleaning, sanding and oiling methods to bring it back to it’s original coloration. Weather Cover also are suggested to slow down this process and keep your furniture in it’s best condition.
Sling: Batyline
Sourced and manufacturered in Europe by Serge Ferrari, our Batyline is top of the line and designed to last with years of use. Batyline is an incredibly strong material used in furniture with slings for airy and supportive reclining; Resistant to stretching and tearing, the polyesterfiers are covered by a PVC coating which maintains its strength but keeps it easy to clean. Available in a few colors, here the Silver color has a mix of Black and Silver fibers, adding a nice melange dimension to the sling. We pair this with our Asteroid finish quite often, but it is complimentary to all kinds of our finishes.

Care + Maintenance
Indonesian Teak
- Maintain the original quality of the teak by applying Teak Cleaner at the beginning and end of each season.
- To keep the surfaces clean from dirt, mold and mildew, periodically hose with water and Teak Cleaner, scrubbing in the directions of the grain.
- For stubborn areas, use a power washer to clean. Hold the power washer approximately 30” away from the furniture and do not exceed 1200 PSI. Rinse and then allow to sun dry.
- Exposure to moisture over time can raise the wood grain.
- A light sanding with fine 120-grit sandpaper smooths the surface.
Batyline
-
For spot cleaning: Brush off any dirt or debris with a soft bristle brush or spray off with a hose.
- For a deeper cleaning: Mix warm water with a mild soap and clean with a soft bristle brush.
- Do not use abrasive cleansers.
- Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.
Outdoor Upholstery And Inserts
- To prevent embedded dirt stains, use a soft-bristle brush to frequently dust and remove dirt from the fabric.
For everyday stains:
- Use a mild cleaner with warm water or Fabric Cleaner and a soft-bristle brush and rinse thoroughly.
- Tip cushions on their sides with the zipper facing down and unzipped to ensure that all water drains.
- Once completely dry, apply cushion covers and follow our tips below to repel dirt and moisture.
For mold and mildew:
- Soak in a 1:20 solution of bleach to water and wash with diluted dishwashing liquid and rinse thoroughly.
- A power washing with a pressure of 1200 PSI is highly effective – anything more will damage the fibers. Hold the power washer approximately 30” away from the cushion to wash away mold and mildew. • Tip cushions on their sides with the zipper facing down and unzipped to ensure that all water drains. For teak wood oil surfacing: oils released from natural teak can be removed from cushions by gently washing with Fabric Cleaner and either a power washer (1200 PSI) or a soft-bristle brush.
- To avoid oil surfacing on dining chair cushions, flip cushions up when not in use until oil surfacing subsides.
- Set-in stains and mildew may require professional cleaning.
