Purposefully engineered for square fire pits and rectangular fire pits, this grate elevates firewood for optimal oxygen circulation—creating brighter flames, reduced smoke, and a more controlled burn. Crafted in the USA and fully welded and assembled, the Square Fire Pit Grate is constructed from 5/8″ square carbon steel bar stock, selected for its strength, durability, and ability to withstand repeated high-heat exposure. The reinforced square frame and cross-bar layout provide exceptional load support, keeping logs evenly distributed and stable throughout the burn.

Integrated beneath the grate is a Char-Guard Ember Catch, formed from heavy-duty expanded metal. This feature improves burn consistency, supports optional charcoal use, and helps contain embers—simplifying ash cleanup while enhancing overall fire efficiency.

The grate stands on 4″ elevated legs, lifting fuel off the fire pit floor to encourage airflow from all sides. This design minimizes smoldering, promotes cleaner combustion, and helps protect the fire pit base from excessive heat buildup.

Finished with a high-temperature black powder coat, the surface is heat resistant and suited for year-round outdoor use. Clean lines and a minimal silhouette allow the grate to blend seamlessly into both contemporary and traditional outdoor fire pit designs.

Available in 24″, 30″, and 36″ square sizes, the grate accommodates a wide range of residential and commercial fire pit applications.

Installation & Placement

Installation is simple and requires no tools. Place the grate directly inside your square or rectangular fire pit, ensuring it sits level and centered. Stack firewood evenly on top, allowing space between logs for airflow.

After use, allow the grate to cool completely before removing ash and debris. A stiff brush or ash shovel is sufficient for routine cleaning. To extend the lifespan of the steel and finish, we recommend covering the fire pit or storing the grate in a dry location when not in use for extended periods.
