The Formentera Daybed is designed to provide luxurious outdoor lounging with durability and contemporary coastal style. Its design combines aesthetic appeal with practical performance, creating a versatile piece suitable for residential and hospitality environments.

The frame is constructed from exposed aluminum tubes finished in bronze powder coating for enhanced resistance to corrosion, moisture, and UV exposure. Seating and support are formed with twisted all-weather rope in the Dune color, handwoven to provide strength, flexibility, and durability. The daybed includes plush outdoor cushions that are engineered for long-lasting comfort and resistance to fading, stains, and mildew. Fabric options include Siesta, Riviera, Panama, Copacabana, and Lisos collections, allowing customization to match different outdoor design schemes.

The daybed measures 56.6 inches in width, 69.1 inches in depth, and 32.1 inches in height, with a seat height of 17.2 inches. It is designed to accommodate one or more users comfortably and pairs well with side tables, outdoor coffee tables, or other seating pieces in the Formentera collection. While it is a standalone item, it integrates seamlessly into coordinated outdoor lounge arrangements.

For installation, place the daybed on a flat, stable outdoor surface. Routine maintenance includes regular dusting with a soft-bristle brush to remove dirt from fabric and rope surfaces. For everyday stains, use mild soap and water or an approved fabric cleaner and rinse thoroughly. Position cushions on their sides with zippers open for proper water drainage. After drying, apply a fabric protector to help repel dirt and moisture. For mold or mildew, use a 1:20 bleach-to-water solution or diluted dishwashing liquid, rinsing thoroughly afterward. Proper care will help maintain the daybed’s appearance and longevity.

• Copacabana

Copacabana is a 100% Olefin fabric milled in Indonesia, offering exceptional weather resistance, faster drying, and greater mold resistance than polyester. Sourced from Sunproof by Ateja, it’s made from fully recyclable, eco-friendly materials and pairs beautifully with our sustainably sourced Indonesian teak furniture.

• Panama

Milled in Spain from 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarn, this fabric resists sun, moisture, mildew, and staining—making it a true workhorse for outdoor living.

• Riviera

Sourced from Italy, Riviera is a fully outdoor performance fabric with a knubby texture similar to luxe boucle or terry cloth. Despite its soft, indoor-like feel, it’s made from 100% polypropylene, making it resistant to sun, moisture, sweat, mildew, and stains.

• Siesta

Milled in Italy, Siesta is our premium outdoor fabric that delivers true luxury. Though it looks and feels like indoor linen, its double-thickness basket-weave is made from 100% polypropylene, giving it sun, stain, and water resistance.

Rope: Twisted Rope Dune

Soft to the touch but incredibly strong, our Outdoor ropes bring a tactility and warmth to the frames they adorn. Special to this rope is a twisted detail in the fiber, echoing a nautical and natural aesthetic. Crafted from Olefin, an incredible weather resistant fiber that is more resistant to mold and faster drying than polyester, our workshop wraps and weaves each piece of furniture by hand with this rope.

Care + Maintenance

Powder Coated Aluminum

• Furniture should be thoroughly cleaned often using a soft towel and mild soap.
• In coastal locations, furniture should be washed with a mild soap and rinsed frequently to remove salt deposits.
• A solution of 1:1 white distilled vinegar and water can be used to help remove water spots. Then rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.
  
• Do not use any harsh solvent-based, abrasive or stainless steel cleaners.

Upholstery and Inserts

For everyday stains:

• Use a mild cleaner with warm water or Fabric Cleaner and a soft-bristle brush and rinse thoroughly.
• Tip cushions on their sides with the zipper facing down and unzipped to ensure that all water drains.
• Once completely dry, apply cushion covers and follow our tips below to repel dirt and moisture.

For mold and mildew:

• Soak cushions in a 1:20 bleach-to-water solution, wash with diluted dishwashing liquid, and rinse thoroughly.
• Power wash at 1200 PSI only; higher pressure can damage fibers. Keep the washer about 30 inches away from the cushion.
• After washing, tip cushions on their sides with the zipper unzipped and facing down to let all water drain.

Olefin Rope

• For spot cleaning: Brush off any dirt or debris with a soft bristle brush or spray off with a hose.
• For a deeper cleaning: Mix warm water with a mild soap and clean with a soft bristle brush.
• Do not use abrasive cleansers.
• Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.
