The Eclipse® square cantilever umbrella sets a clear geometric canopy above a lounge or dining area, supported by a corrosion-resistant aluminum structure and stainless-steel hardware. Crank lift, 360-degree mast rotation and Infinity Tilt offer precise positioning without a center pole among the furniture. Selected finishes and acrylic canopy colors give this adjustable shade a refined place in modern outdoor design.

Design / Use Context
In ground-level hotel courtyards and contemporary residential patios, the square Eclipse® helps organize a comfortable outdoor gathering area. Its straight canopy edges relate to architectural lines, and the offset mast leaves room for a loveseat, coffee table or dining group below. Plan both the open shade footprint and the closing path so furniture remains clear of moving components.
Care & Maintenance
-
Canopy Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush. Use low-pressure fresh water and solvent-free mild soap in lukewarm water, then rinse thoroughly. Follow the instructions for the selected fabric before stain treatment.
-
Drying & Storage: Allow the canopy to air-dry completely before prolonged closure, covering or storage. If it must be closed while wet, reopen it to dry as soon as conditions allow.
-
Mast & Moving Parts: Rinse salt, dirt and debris from the mast, slider tracks and rotation area with fresh water. Inspect the installation fittings regularly and follow the owner’s manual for adjustment or lubrication.
-
Folding & Covering: Pull fabric panels clear of the ribs after closing, fold them neatly, then secure the canopy strap. Use the protective cover for extended periods without use.
-
Wind Stabilization: Follow the supplied instructions for fitting and removing stabilization bars. The bars are used only with the canopy level and locked; remove them before tilting or closing.
-
Wind & Unattended Use: Close and secure the umbrella when unattended, in strong winds or before severe weather. A published wind rating is a tested-condition guide, not a guarantee against damage.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between cantilever and center-pole shade?
The Eclipse® supports its canopy from an offset mast, leaving the furniture area beneath free of a center pole.
How can I adjust the shade?
The canopy has crank lift, Infinity Tilt and full-circle mast rotation. Rotation locks in 24 positions, spaced 15 degrees apart. Allow room for the complete operating sweep.
Does it include a base?
A compatible cantilever base or structural mount is required. Confirm whether that support is included in your selected order; the umbrella specification alone does not establish a complete installed package. A standard center-pole base is not interchangeable.
Are a protective cover and wind kit supplied?
The current specifications list a black polyester cover. Confirm the wind stabilization kit in your selected package with BOXHILL before ordering. If supplied, install and remove it according to the owner’s manual.
Can I leave the umbrella open in windy weather?
The published guide is 30 mph for this canopy type under the supplier’s specified test conditions. It does not apply while tilted and does not provide wind-damage warranty coverage. Close and secure the umbrella when unattended or in strong winds; site conditions and anchoring matter.
Is it suitable for a rooftop installation?
The supplier’s published warranties and wind ratings do not apply to rooftops or elevated patios above ground level. Discuss any elevated installation with BOXHILL before ordering; ground-level ratings should not be used to approve it.
How do I care for the canopy?
Clean gently with a soft brush, mild solvent-free soap and low-pressure water, then rinse and air-dry completely. Use the selected fabric’s care instructions for stain removal.
What warranty applies?
Limited coverage depends on the model, fabric, residential or commercial use, and correct installation and care. Confirm the written terms for your configuration with BOXHILL. Wind damage and rooftop/elevated installations are excluded from the published coverage.
Where can I review shipping, returns and cancellations?
This umbrella is made to order. The current product terms state that cancellations and change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Review the Shipping Policy, Return Policy and Terms & Conditions before ordering, and contact BOXHILL promptly about a damaged or defective delivery.
