At the heart of the Klad table is a phenolic finish selected for its durability and consistent performance outdoors. Phenolic is a material commonly used in architectural applications where surfaces must hold up to weather, moisture, and daily wear. It is made by layering FSC-certified kraft paper infused with phenolic resin, then compressing it under high pressure between protective laminate layers.

This process creates a dense, stable surface that maintains its shape and finish over time. Unlike traditional wood tables, phenolic will not absorb moisture, split, or require refinishing. It offers the warmth of wood grain with far less maintenance, making it a practical choice for outdoor dining environments.

The tabletop is available in three wood-inspired finishes—Natural Oak, Madison Walnut, and Loft Ash—allowing the table to blend naturally with a variety of outdoor furniture styles. Beneath the surface, the table’s structure provides dependable strength while keeping the overall silhouette light and modern.

Phenolic Finishes

Our Phenolic Finishes are made from architectural-grade phenolic, originally developed for exterior cladding and façade applications. It is constructed from FSC-certified kraft paper saturated in phenolic resin and compressed under high pressure with exterior-grade laminate layers.

The result is a material with exceptional strength, rigidity, and dimensional stability. Phenolic resists warping, cracking, splintering, and delamination while maintaining its appearance without refinishing or treatments.

Care Instructions

Simply wipe down with soapy water and washcloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or anything abrasive, such as a scouring pad, as that may dull the material. All pieces are scratch resistant, waterproof and will never need to be refinished or painted.
