The Nexus table features a phenolic tabletop, a material often used in exterior architectural applications where durability and weather resistance are important. Phenolic provides the appearance of wood while offering far greater stability outdoors, making it well suited for outdoor dining furniture.

Phenolic panels are produced by layering FSC-certified kraft paper infused with phenolic resin and compressing them under high pressure between protective laminate layers. This process forms a dense, solid surface that resists moisture, splitting, and warping. Unlike traditional wood tables, phenolic does not require sealing, staining, or refinishing to maintain its appearance.

The tabletop retains the warmth and texture of natural wood grain while offering a surface that holds up well in outdoor conditions. It is available in three wood-inspired finishes—Natural Oak, Madison Walnut, and Loft Ash—allowing the table to coordinate with many outdoor seating collections.

Our Phenolic Finishes are made from architectural-grade phenolic, originally developed for exterior cladding and façade applications. It is constructed from FSC-certified kraft paper saturated in phenolic resin and compressed under high pressure with exterior-grade laminate layers.

The result is a material with exceptional strength, rigidity, and dimensional stability. Phenolic resists warping, cracking, splintering, and delamination while maintaining its appearance without refinishing or treatments.

Care Instructions

Simply wipe down with soapy water and washcloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or anything abrasive, such as a scouring pad, as that may dull the material. All pieces are scratch resistant, waterproof and will never need to be refinished or painted.
